Ward Mission Plan

WHY:

The purpose of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is to love and invite all of God’s children to come unto Christ . . . “that ye may be . . . my people who are of the house of Israel” (3 Nephi 30:2), and help them make sacred covenants with Him.

WHAT:

Create a personal or family mission plan with the intent to help your family, friends, neighbors, and associates take one step closer to Christ by partaking of the blessings of the restored gospel

HOW:

    1. LOVE

Help others feel the love that their Father has for them, as well as the love you have for them

2. SHARE

“We speak openly of The Savior and His influence in our lives. We share love, time, experiences and Church programs to bless God’s children . . .” -General Handbook

3. INVITE

Invitations should happen in normal and natural ways. To invite is simply to include others in your life experiences.

"After all that has been said, the greatest and most important duty is to preach the Gospel. " -Joseph Smith Jr., April 1837

WHY:

The purpose of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is to love and invite all of God’s children to come unto Christ . . . “that ye may be . . . my people who are of the house of Israel” (3 Nephi 30:2), and help them make sacred covenants with Him.

WHAT:

Create a personal or family plan to be involved in doing your Temple/Family History work, and in participating in Temple worship by performing ordinances for your own ancestors. Help them make their own covenants with God.

HOW:

    1. LOVE

Strengthen your family and your ancestors by putting forth effort to create bonds of an eternal family.

2. SHARE

Give of your time with the living and the dead by helping them to come to Christ through sacred Temple ordinances.

3. INVITE

Encourage others to participate in Family History. Invite your ancestors to come to Christ by performing Temple ordinances on their behalf.
